Annual Fund

The Annual Fund is an important part of meeting Unity School’s operating budget. As an independent school, Unity does not receive any government funding, which means that tuition and charitable gifts are the primary sources of revenue. Tuition alone does not cover the full expense of maintaining our School’s high quality education programs and facilities. Your contributions to the Annual Fund are necessary to balance the school’s budget by filling the gap between tuition and the actual expense of running the school. Giving to the Annual Fund is your primary opportunity to enhance our School’s quality programs, equipment and facilities that all students and teachers will benefit from.

Since the Annual Giving Fund supports current year operations, current parents are the heart of the campaign. However, all members of the Unity School community including alumni, former parents, friends, faculty and staff are asked to give.

Parents have the most important reason for supporting the Annual Fund. It is their children who benefit directly, and immediately. With your gift, our outstanding programs continue to grow and expand to meet the changing educational needs of our wonderful children. All gifts help the school maintain its margin of excellence. The tradition of philanthropy has continued throughout the years as parents, alumni and friends have left their legacy on the School through their gifts to the Annual Fund.

Independent schools, colleges and universities nationwide are never 100% dependent on tuition to cover all their expenses. Increasing tuition could dramatically eliminate families who otherwise bring a multi-faceted diversity to our student community and allows for larger student enrollment.

Our fundraising goal is to reach $200,000 and 100% participation of Unity families, faculty and staff. Please make your donation to the Annual Fund your foremost contribution to Unity School.

Your gift will make a big difference, especially when it is added to the gifts of other parents, alumni and friends. The strength of the Annual Fund lies in the combined gifts from all donors. Your gift means more than just new library books or improved academic programs.

Annual Fund gifts immediately benefit current students by supporting Unity School’s operating budget.  Your gift supplements our academic, athletic, music, visual and performing arts, technology, Lessons in Living, campus improvements and other operational needs.  

Yes! Unity School is a 501 C 3 non-profit organization. All donations to the Annual Giving Fund are 100% tax-deductible. Most people give by December 31st to receive a tax deduction for the current year.

Your contribution is a very personal decision. We hope that you will give as generously as you are able. Every gift, regardless of size, is needed and sincerely appreciated. The only gift that’s too small is no gift at all.

Yes! Many companies will match gifts to Unity School.  These forms should be available in your company’s Human Resource Office.  This is a wonderful way to increase your gift to the School.
