Our purpose is to provide a safe and nurturing environment where each child can thrive as their authentic self—growing academically, socially, and spiritually, while building a strong foundation for lifelong learning and success.
Please join us to kick off the new school year! Enjoy a fun-filled evening of bounce houses, lawn games, a photo booth, music and more. Food trucks will be available to purchase delicious food. It is a great night to spend with Unity families. Volunteers are needed for registration and activities on the day of event.
Bring your creativity and best costumes for an evening of Halloween fun! Decorate your car trunk or golf cart in a festive theme and bring plenty of candy to share
with our trick-or-treaters. With food trucks, music and fun, it’s a spook-tacular way for Unity families to celebrate together.
Support a love of reading at Unity School. Assistance needed to decorate and set up books; during fair replenishing shelves and assisting students in choosing books; clean-up after Bagels for Dads, Grand Event and with Book Fair. Contact our Book Fair Chairs for more info.
The Annual Auction is Unity School’s premier fundraiser of the year and promises to be a spectacular evening as we celebrate another year of success and camaraderie! The night features dinner, dancing, and exciting silent & live auctions. Many volunteers are needed to help make this event a success! Opportunities include soliciting ads and auction items, selling raffle tickets, assisting with event promotion, decorating, and helping display select silent auction items in the breezeway to build excitement. You can sign up to help as much or as little as your schedule allows—every bit of support makes a difference!
Many parent volunteers are needed to encourage and supervise the children at each Field Day station. Enjoy a day of fun with the children. Please contact Sharon Gerry at x144 for more information.
Participate in a wonderful breakfast to honor our teachers and staff for all of their efforts throughout the year. Room parents and other volunteers are needed in the classroom while teachers are enjoying their breakfast. Help needed with decorating cafeteria day before the event, morning set-up, serving and clean-up. All classrooms are asked to bring specific food items, cook/bake one of our themed signature dishes or make a cash donation for the Chairs to purchase the catered food items.
Each month, Unity School collects food donations for the Caring Kitchen, a local food bank in Delray Beach. Volunteers are needed to assist with running this meaningful program – supporting our lead coordinator by notifying classrooms, helping collect and organize donations, and working with the Caring Kitchen team. It’s a wonderful way to give back to the community and inspire generosity in our students
Unity’s Annual Peace Day, held every October, is a school-wide celebration dedicated to promoting peace. Each year, parents and students participate in meaningful peace projects and activities. Volunteers are needed to assist with classroom activities and projects leading up to Peace Day, as well as to support events on the day itself.
Each holiday season, Unity School’s Angel Tree program provides gifts and essential items to local families in need. Volunteers help organize donations, coordinate gift collection, and ensure every “Angel” is matched with a generous donor. It’s a beautiful opportunity to share the spirit of giving with our community.
Volunteers are needed for the Care & Support Team, which helps ensure our community feels cared for during significant life moments. Each classroom has a representative who notifies the Lessons in Living team if a family welcomes a new baby, faces an illness, or is going through a time of need – so the school can offer thoughtful outreach. You may not be called upon often, but being “on call” and ready to help is a valued part of this compassionate program.
Through your generosity, the Annual Fund assures that our children are provided with exemplary programs including Lessons in Living, Drama, Athletics and Art. Volunteers from each class are chosen to educate their fellow parents as to the purpose of Annual Giving so we can unite in shared values to build our school community.
Volunteers play a vital role in enriching our students’ creative, performing, and literary experiences. Opportunities include assisting in art classes (other than your child’s), helping with student projects, and setting up art displays on campus and at events; supporting music concerts by organizing students and helping during rehearsals; contributing to the drama production with sets, props, makeup, snacks, ticket sales, and promotion; and helping with ongoing library projects throughout the year.
